Meet Kalei(My Furbaby) — the 2nd portrait in my Mini Mutt Mural series 

Some dogs are pets. Some dogs are partners. Kalei was the latter.

This is my soul dog. My Chiweenie. My co-pilot for 14 years. We didn’t just share a home — we shared a life. Road trips, adventures, and a move to Hawaii together. Wherever I went, Kalei went. She never needed to be asked twice.

She was sweet, sensitive, and devoted in a way that made you feel like the most important person in the world. Because to her, you were. She looked at me like I was the love of her life. Honestly, she was mine too.

Kalei passed a few years ago and she left a hole that nothing quite fills. This painting is my way of keeping her with me — and sharing her with anyone who’s ever loved a dog that deeply.
